Guildford ADSL Woes

Adam Curry - Prince of Podcasting - discovers Guildford is a port or two short.

Podcasting is taking off big-time and many will have seen Adam Curry on the recent BBC Culture Show talking about this latest phenomenon.

But Adam's days are now spent podcasting from Starbucks, as BT appear to have run out of DSL ports in the exchange and therefore can't offer him a high speed internet connection at home - there's a waiting list in Guildford for ADSL these days.

An ideal opportunity for an urban community network with alternative backhaul (let's say fibre) if ever there was one. C'mon you carriers, spot the opp. Break out the glass(es) and stuff this port and lemon stuff which leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
